I'm hoping to be back reviewing and moderating soon-ish.

As mentioned previously, I needed a long break after spending hours virtually every day moderating and reviewing games since 2008 and prior to that commenting virtually every day before I became a moderator.

I've been really busy........ ''playing Fallout 76 for several hours nearly every day; mainly solo, but a few times each week with friends''

It's become my number one game of 2023 with over a thousand hours played since December 22.

I pre-purchased both Hogwarts Legacy and Kerbal Space Program 2 because both games appealed to me and I was really looking forwards to their release, yet I haven't touched them, apart from installing and booting them up for less than an hour each. Also, my favourite hunting game, Way of the Hunter hasn't been booted up since February, despite having a new reserve released, that I've not even checked out.

Apart from the games, I've been really busy with other personal projects like recovering my vinyl album collection and cleaning the disks as they were stored for over two decades. I bought a cheap deck that had a USB plug with a view to copying the albums to MP3's, then selling the albums to a store dedicated to vinyl. Some of the albums I have sell for over £100 and I anticipated a decent price for the collection I have. It's only a small collection of just over 300 albums.

Anyway, I decided to keep them and have just purchased a second hand B&O turntable (a Beomaster 5500) and a set of B&O shelf speakers via eBay that I'm really looking forwards to setting up when they arrive sometime over the next several days.

The first deck I ever purchased as a 17 year old back in the early 70's was a B&O turntable that cost me a fortune back then (about £120, which in todays money is around £700). It was their budget version, but it was amazing; sadly it was stolen while I was at university. :(

After the 3 heart attacks and 3 strokes I haven't "seriously" played any game .
I don't have the energy .
The only game I still play , just a level each time . is UT99 GOTY .
My eyes are failing and I am getting tired and dizzy really fast .

I love vinyl records .
My father collected them from the 60's and then .
Just before I went to the Army (mandatory in Greece) , almost 20
years old , I said to him that the only thing I wanted from him , was
those records and the tiny record player he bought in the early 60's .
I still have them .
They must be arround 500 of them .
Most of them are the small size (45 rounds/turns) and the others are the large
size (LP's) , I think 33 rounds/turns .
For know they are stored in the basement .
I don't have the space needed to have them in the house .
Hopefully , some day I will have a VERY large living room , were I
would be able to "display" all those vinyl records , my hundreds of
books and even more PC games ... :-).
